People work better if they are paid more.

I agree that people work better if they are paid more. The presence of rewards has always compelled people to work harder; in today's society, the most practical reward is liquid cash.
If we look at our society, it is obvious that money inspires people to work better. That is why almost every company offers a pay raise to workers who perform well. My father, for one, started showing more interest in his work when he was promoted to a manager position, which means he has higher pay.
Though we all can deny it, everyone needs money. It is not a sin, rather, it is required to survive in today's exorbitant world of material goods. Would someone lament if he was offered a higher pay? Definitely not, as it would improve his living standards.
Having said this, I have established the fact that money is important. This being so, it is only logical that people work hard to earn it. After all, there is no easy way out in the world. Therefore, when people work harder to get that financial reward, they work better. Hence, people work better if they are paid more.
